Worst Generation

I was doing stuff last night when I thought of something. But first I must explain myself here. Most of you have heard the term: “A man is only as good as his word.” Which means that a person is only as good as the promises they keep, even the little ones. And every little lie is a mark against him.

This got me thinking. Is our Generation then the worst the world has ever seen? Think about it. We are going to be a generation that lying is the norm, and that divorce will be the highest of any generation before.
So this Generation will be the great big black mark on world history centuries from now. People will read that we never kept our word on anything, that we did whatever we want without any care for others. We will be known for extremely high divorce rate, and for lawsuits over broken contracts, and nobody trusting anyone else.

I do not know what we can do about it, but be honest ourselves, and do not do anything to break contracts, or agreements. If enough of us do it we may be able to counter this overly dishonest Generation.

Anyone with me?

Hey, you know you can count on me to be with you, this is something we cannot ignore. Even little 'white' lies, are lies, and need to be dealt with. So, let's start a rebellion against the values of this world and how it thinks we should act, and start acting like GOD says we should act. And lets begin by starting with the children. You with me?

I totally agree with Kindy on this. Standards and values in our world are taking a dramatic plunge, and it's just going to keep getting worse. It's up to people like us to make sure that we continue to keep God's values alive in a dark world for future generations. Fifty years ago people thought things were bad when people were wearing bell-bottoms and leaving their hair long and uncombed. Now we have girls who walk down the street wearing next to nothing. And yet it might get worse. Who knows, maybe people will look back on our time and moan about how terrible the world is and call now 'the good old days'.

Scary thought, isn't it?

Now I will end this comment that is way too long.

I think our generation stands at the brink of something. Whether it is glory or disaster, I cannot say.
On one hand, this generation might go down in history as one of the most blind, immoral cultures ever to arise; the nation that had the best chance of being free and staying free descending first into lawlessness, then dictatorship.
On the other hand, this generation has a faint glimmer of being the greatest generation, the one who reversed a destructive culture and preserved its republic, something that has never been done before.
If it were to happen anywhere, it would happen here. It would have to happen very soon, and I shudder at the thought of what a terrible disaster it would take to turn a generation like this to repentance.
