Winter

Winter is commonly associated with death. I have always thought this was a mistake. Death is a permanent thing, winter is not. I personally like winter, and don't understand why a lot of people don't like it. Here I'm going to give my take on winter.

Winter is a peaceful time where everything turns a kind of grey. Now most people hate it, but I like it because it's such a reflective time. I find all the time to think about previous events of the year, and relive times I liked. This time is important to all humans as we need our pasts to live in the present. If we didn't ever reflect on our experiences we would never have any depth in out lives, and would be just as shallow and inexperienced as toddlers. We also find joy in our day to day lives that we will remember for longer than we would expect.

Winter is not just a time for reflection, but also a time for rest. We humans need rest just as we have to work. If we didn't have times of rest we would become weak, hostile, and our day to day lives would become so distorted and weird that we would turn on those we care about in a desperate attempt for the rest we crave.

If nothing else then winter is just a time when you don't have to mow the lawn.

Hope you all have a happy and peaceful winter.

This blog post is about something, but I havn't figured it out yet.

My mom told me to put something up, but I don't have much to say.
I had the flu, and now I'm recovering from walking Pneumonia. We are kinda lazy today as we haven't gotten any real prepping for thanksgiving today. I am wasting valuable time I could be using for writing for putting this blog post up.

I don't know what to say, and i have no real reason to post, but i'll pull this out yet. Ok have any of you seen the Avatar trailers? They kinda look cool. I'm getting sick of watching toy story. Cars, and George of the jungle. I have a sore throat.

I'm looking forward to making pumpkin pies tomorrow. I always enjoy making them, and this year we got canned pumpkin so it will be easier. We are going to watch the last episode of V tonight. Looks like a great series to me.

How long is this going to go on? I can't think of any reason people will read this much less comment on this mindless post. oh well. *hits Publish*

How to rapid thaw a turkey

This method is something we have been perfecting over the past few weeks, and I must say that it has turned out to be a success.

First you take your frozen turkey, and you put it in the oven the NIGHT BEFORE thanksgiving. then you set the temp to 150-200. Most oven label this Warm, so set it there. Leave it overnight to thaw.

In the morning set the turkey out at 350 and your ready to go. This method has proven to be the best we've come up with, and the least messy. I hope this helps those who have trouble thawing that bird for thanksgiving.

Flu

Sorry I've been gone a long time I had the flu, and I was sick for over a week. I will get back to posting now.

As for the music video thing. I need more time to work on it. I'm tired and run down so I'm not working on it right now.

It's all fun and games till someone blows up the kitchen

That's right it's Monday, and I'm going to pick on professional music videos. For Monday I'm picking out the oddities and flaws of two Lifehouse vids.

Starting with Breathing:

Needless to say it is very odd, but there is more than meets the eye here.
First I would like to point out that the chances that about 10 people on the same block doing different things and singing same song as this man here are something like 12000 to 1; don't even bring up the fact that they are singing in sync. second they are all singing in the same voice. now with the guys that's ok, but the women too?

That's not all you see in the video that he is singing with these same people on a rooftop at night. My only guess is that they all got together after seeing him singing that song and decided to have a party on the roof, but there is a small problem with that.... the lead singer is caught in a time loop.
That's about the only explanation for why he spots himself walk in the opposite direction, and I might add that he walks by another woman that sings in his exact voice. You will notice that he hops back into the same car at the end of the video.

All in all the video makes no sense, but it get's you wondering. Mostly about how he found this town with the weird people and the time loop.
I rate this video 4/10 good quality in the video, but the video dosn't make sense so it really dosn't work.

BUT THERE'S MORE!

That's right Lifehouse: Whatever it takes.

Now this one is insane. Symbolic, but crazy. first you notice his bedroom explode, but in near zero-G. I don't know where this guy finds these places, but I kinda think he must have bad luck. Anyway, there is a bit of a technical flaw with this one here. when the pictures blow up you actually see the explosives. poor execution by the director and crew there. Another thing that doesn't make sense is his room full of lamps; if anyone knows what's up with them pleas tell me.

This is where the video get's weird. the kitchen items blow up everywhere. Again a technical flaw as you can see the explosives in various places, and the milk explodes four times. Oddly despite blowing up everything in his bedroom and kitchen the repair themselves.

I can't say I cared for this one. it was trying to be symbolic, but failed miserably, and wound up with several technical flaws. 2/10

tune in tomorrow for: Newsboys!
