And the New Book is:

SKRYBE

For all those who wanted to know what happened to my other two books, I haven't abandoned them, The Nithcur King is getting a total rewrite based on new ideas, and majorly improved storytelling, and Theodore's Gate is still being worked on, however some problems did arise with that book and I am in the process of correcting them.

This new book Is for now mostly a secret, however I do plan on it being a series; some things I can tell you is that it's going to be my first sci-fi story.

The plot as far as i can tell you is: a group of teenagers are captured by a secret military organization, and find out they were all genetic experiments to create the perfect super soldier. The organization preaches peace, however some think it has far more sinister intentions, and the teens must decide who they can trust.

I plan to finish this book by the end of next month, and given my current progress that shouldn't be too hard.

I will cap off by showing you all some inspiration songs for this book.

Fireflight: Stronger Than You Think

Owl City: Dreams Don't Turn to Dust

Newsboys: Something to Believe In

Feed the Machine

Hopefully I will be able to post more soon.

I'm starting to get known for these

Thought I would do something fun today, I very rarely listen to Secular music, but when I do like one, I keep track of it. I'm Not gonna bother confining this to 5 or ten or whatever, this is just a short list of secular music in no particular order that I personally like.

This is how a heart breaks By Rob Thomas
I like this song a little, I mean it's ok, but in all honesty, the music video is awesome.

Son of Man by Phil Collins
Ok I know what you're thinking, this is a Disney song, so it doesn't count, and I would have to say honestly I think it does. Many of you have asked me the inspiration of the character "The Cloak" From my Nithcur King book, and the Answer is: Disney's Tarzan. It may seem like a stretch, but the idea did come from there, and especially this song.

Down to Earth by Peter Gabriel
WALL-e was undoubtedly one of Pixar's finest films. The ending was particularly great, and this song at the end just made it all that much better. It's as beautiful as the film it was written for.

When I Was Your Age by Weird Al Yankovic
Ok this is Weird Al, Everyone loves him, but if I had to pick a favorite, I would choose "When I Was Your Age".
"Didn't have no lawn mower, had to use our teeth to cut the grass!" LOL

Kings and Queens by 30 Seconds to Mars
Not sure I know what the writer's original meaning was, but what I took away was: We were made to be rulers of the world, but we have fallen and destroyed whatever God meant for us to be. I quite honestly doubt that was the intent of the song, but whatever their true intent was, I quite honestly like it.

Do what you want By OK GO
Kinda hard to pick a favorite OK GO video, they have some of the most enjoyable music videos ever, but if I had to pick one, this would be it.

Bad Day - Daniel Powter
Ok not my favorite ever, but it's good, and makes a decent pick-me-up.

Little Wonders by Rob Thomas
No doubt my favorite secular song, actually one of my favorite songs period. It was played at the end of Meet the Robinsons, and while I love the film, I love the song more.

I hope you all enjoyed my collection here, and I will post something serious later on, I just felt like having a little fun.

Ok I'll admit it

It is rather hard to write an opening to a story. I struggle with it the most of anything I do. Particularly the Nithcur King's first act is some of the most difficult writing, as what happens in it sets up every element later on. It's easy to write a good twist, or a great battle, but the ordinary life around us is the hardest thing in the world.

So far the Nithcur King rewrite is going well. It's definitely got a lot more action and atmosphere than I used to have. Originally I wrote the book with a realistic bent, but since then I decided to go more stylized with my story. This obviously will change the tone, but I hope it's for the better.

Another update, I've got one more interview, and hopefully I will get the job, thank you all who've prayed over the matter. I hope to better at this job than my last.

There is however one thing I want to talk about. This is something that has quite frankly, lost me friends, and gotten on everyone's nerves one time or another.

I freely admit that I'm hard on fellow believers, some of you don't realize that I'm critical of myself too, but I expect fellow believers should hold themselves to a higher standard than that of this world. I feel like we should not only keep from sin, but also not judge others because they view things differently than you. I'm guilty of doing such, but I know it's wrong, and I strongly appose it.

At the same time, I don't fight the world. I don't bash the gay community, or boycott businesses, I don't believe in starting a revolution, and I don't believe in "fighting for our country". I don't spend years trying to get the people of this world to see why abortion is wrong, I don't yell at kids for reading harry potter, I don't join in anti Muslim sentiments, I don't debate with atheists, and I don't get worked up over how immodest people are.

Does this mean I don't agree with these standards? eh not really the case, generally I agree on the biblical basis, but I don't believe we can convert the earth to our life styles, nor can we expect them to even understand why murder is wrong. I can't get people to act out something they don't believe in, that is why I tell believers, guard your own heart, and try to convert the hearts of others, but it's no use fighting. Understand, we can dress up this world in pretty ribbon and bows, but if the core is rotten, its stench will be noticed. Christians all too often bash some party or another for not doing what they think is right, when they should be preaching to these people the Gospel.

I doubt many of you will agree, but I hope some of you will, and this is honestly how I see it.
