thank you! My Mom came up with it about six or seven years ago. We had a vote for every year for like four years, and every year the nativity won unanimously.
as for decorating we still do wreaths, lights, and other decorations. We just don't do the tree. another side plus is that we don't have to worry about the floor space.

Thats a GREAT idea to put your presents around your Nativity! It would certainly help to keep the focus on Jesus!
